CONSTRUCTED DRAWING
FINAL COMPOSITION 1
In the first composition, the intention was to explore 2D drawings of various scales, taken from precedents within architectural representation. I looked to explore and define the quality of a line, the expansion and collapsing of the picture plane, and develop finesse in the utilization of my modeling tools.
FINAL COMPOSITION 2
After the completion of composition 1, I looked to pull apart the created 2D drawings into a bas-relief introducing workflows of digital design to physical artifact. Here, various parts of the collapsed drawing was spatialized and included 3-Dimensional objects fabricated in various different techniques. Influences developed within the “Plan Game” developed as a predecessor exercise to Collage City, these artifacts have independent qualities referential to themselves as such on a Louis Sullivan Terra Cotta Plate, but also interconnected as part of the larger collective expression.
