REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The film is focused on the word reflection. Reflection can explicitly mean the idea of something bouncing back, but it also can mean a deeply introspective, meditative state. The film uses the duality that this word embodies to represent an individual's state of mind in the modern city. In today’s society there exists a necessity to project an image, to create a facade. We use this to protect our inner selves throughout social media, corporate America, and almost all social interactions.
The film focuses on the struggle of this inner disingenuousness and the deteriorating mental state that follows. In the destruction of the self-image, and the pieces of who we were lie broken, who is it that is still left?
